\nFairfax County Public School Pride needed a place to hold their October 2 gathering since rain knocked them out of the park. So they moved inside to the Metropolitan Community Church of Northern Virginia. The organizer was expecting 25 people. At least 80 people showed up ~ including Dr. Michelle Reid, FCPS Superintendent. It was a good day, and people needed people ~ especially given all that is happening with LGBTIQA+ staff and students in Virginia schools. TGEA helped to sponsor this event. Finding, forming, and creating safe spaces for community is our mission, and part of what we’re all about!
