Northern Virginia Interfaith Transgender Day of Remembrance Service

This day is dedicated to the memory of those who were murdered simply because they chose to live their lives as their authentic selves. We welcome you to join us to honor and celebrate the lives of those we’ve lost to anti-trans violence and hate, and to recognize the joy and fragility of life and of healing, with loved ones, friends, neighbors, allies and everyone else in our community.
Hosted by Unity of Fairfax, and sponsored by the TransGender Education Association (TGEA) in conjunction with the Metropolitan Church of Northern Virginia (MCC NoVA) and with the support of various host communities, this years’ service will be held at 7PM at:
Unity of Fairfax
2854 Hunter Mill Road
Oakton, VA 22124

ABOUT TGEA
The Transgender Education Association of Greater Washington, D.C. (TGEA) was established to bring together the varied segments of the local gender community into a nurturing and supportive network. Now, as we approach nearly 40 years of outreach, our goals are just as important: to provide a supportive environment and day-to-day assistance for transgender and non-binary individuals and their significant others, friends, family and allies (SOFFAs), to help them overcome their sense of isolation, and to provide educational and social opportunities.
